How to Remove the Fringe From Your Scarf
Perhaps you have a nice scarf, but you don’t wear it so much because you’re not keen on the fringes.
In today's tutorial, you will see how you can easily take off the fringes from your scarf.
Removing the fringes is a very straightforward process; you don’t need to worry about damaging the scarf. Let me show you exactly what you need to do.
For this project, you can use scissors or a seam ripper.
Tools and materials:
- Scarf with fringes
- Scissors or seam ripper
1. Cut the loops
Find a little loop on the scarf and cut it.
Like this.
2. Pull out tassels
Now you can easily pull the tassels out.
Usually, I cut dozens of the tassels first, and then I pull them off all together. This way is much faster than cutting each tassel and taking them off one by one.
You can also open up the loops so that they’re wider and then pull the fringes off.
It can take a few hours to remove all the tassels, so a good idea is to watch a movie that you love while you’re doing it, as that will make the time pass faster.
Voila! Now we have a scarf with all of the fringes removed.

Here is the before and after look. I do like scarves with fringes, but if you want to remove them, it’s great to know that you have the option to do so.

If you wanted to reuse the tassles you could just use a crochet hook to hook them out!
Hope you count out sets of fringe and make them into tassels to add to other craft projects.
