You don’t need anything special for this half up hairstyle except a few hair ties.

And instead of a limp, floppy half ponytail, you’ll have a swinging, bouncy style with lots of volume. If your hair is medium to long, you need to try this!

Tools and materials:

  • Hair ties
  • Crocodile clip
How not to do it

1. How not to do it

If this is how your half up style usually looks, I have a much better way to show you.

High ponytail

2. High ponytail

Section off your hair higher than usual, and pull it into a ponytail with the help of a hair tie.

Clipping hair

3. Clip

Pull it towards the front of your head temporarily and hold it out of the way with a crocodile clip.

Tying low ponytail

4. Low ponytail

Take a section of hair below the first and fasten it into another ponytail.

Flipping hair

5. Flip

Bring this ponytail up through the hair above the tie from underneath and flip it over the top. Pull it tight.

Looping

6. Loop

Release the first ponytail from the crocodile clip.

Make a space above the hair tie and bring the tail of the second ponytail up through the space.
