Looking for a quick and cute Halloween costume idea this year? Look no further! This gumball machine costume was so fun and easy to make and I love the end result!

Here's the costume - how cute are all the colorful pom poms? What's fun about this costume is that you can easily personalize and customize it to fit your style. I'm clearly going for a princess/ballerina style gumball machine here. icon

Materials list:

  • white t-shirt
  • pom poms
  • silver poster board
  • sharpie
  • glue gun
  • wide red ribbon
  • red tutu skirt (but you can really use anything red as the "bottom."
  • plastic headband

Begin by gluing the pom poms onto your t-shirt. Create any shape you like! I created a circular shape and extended the pom poms across most of the front of the t-shirt.

Draw a 25 cents sign onto your poster board using a sharpie to create the coin mechanism which you will wear around your waist. Fun fact: I literally had to search "gumball machine parts" to figure out what this coin thing is called!

Use wide red ribbon to create a belt; attach your coin mechanism to the ribbon using hot glue and tie it around your waist.

This is what your coin mechanism should look like when you're done.

Put it all together and voila you're done! I glued pom poms to a headband as a cute added touch. What do you think of my final result?
