Keep reading to find out what to do.

Tools and materials:

  • Hair tie
Tying ponytail

1. Tie ponytail

Start by tying your hair into a ponytail.

Wrapping hair

2. Wrap hair around elastic

Next, take a small section of hair and wrap it around your hair tie to conceal it.

Dividing ponytail

3. Divide ponytail into two

Divide your ponytail into two equal sections.

Wrapping hair

4. Wrap one section around other

Divide one of the sections of hair into two again and wrap these two sections around the other section.

Wrapping hair

5. Repeat

Repeat this process all the way down your hair.

Essentially, what you want to do is divide the outer section into two and wrap those two sides around the inner section.

Then, pull the inner section out, divide it into two, and wrap those two sides around the other (inner) section.

Tie your hair off with a hair tie when you get to the bottom.

Pulling hair

6. Pull on hair

Finish off by gently pulling on your hair to make it more voluminous.
