How to Safely Remove Hair Wraps Without Pulling Out Your Hair
Hair wraps look so cute and 90s-inspired, but sometimes it’s time for them to come out.
Here, I’m going to show you how to successfully remove your hair wraps without pulling out your hair.
It’s a lot easier than it seems - let me show you what to do!
Tools and materials:
- Eyebrow scissors
- Hairbrush
- Leave-in conditioner
1. Undo knot with scissors
Take off the little rubber band at the end, and then, using small eyebrow scissors, gently start undoing the knot at the bottom so it begins to unravel.
2. Unravel the string
Gently pull at the string to keep on unraveling it, but if you want to move it along a little quicker, you can take the scissors and use them to help remove the string without cutting your hair at all.
3. Pull the rest out
Once you get to the top, you should be able to pull the remaining string out.
4. Undo the braid
Then start undoing the tiny braid underneath - be patient with it, and don’t pull too hard on your hair.
5. Brush hair out
Once the braid is undone, you can brush your hair out.
I also like to add some leave-in conditioner to hydrate the hair that has been covered up.
