Hi everyone. You’ve been asking me how to wrap hair, so here’s a quick and easy tutorial. Let’s get into it.

Tools and materials:

  • Hairbrush
  • String in 3 different colors
  • Small hair elastics
  • Scissors
String

1. Braid off small piece of hair

Braiding

Brush your hair well, then braid a very small section of hair that you’d like to use for your wrap.

Tying braid

Tie a small rubber band at the top of the braid and at the bottom. Secure the rest of your hair out of the way.

2. Get wrapping

Choose three colorful pieces of string. I went for blue, a darker blue and white.

Make sure the string is at least three times longer than the length of your braid.

Tie the three pieces of strings around the top of your braid.

Then, go ahead and start wrapping your first color around the braid.

Push the string upward to mark the end of that color section, then move onto your other colors.

Keep going, creating a fun pattern, until you reach the end of your braid. Then, tie off the strings and cut away any excess.
