When I saw these wonderful fruity beads I instantly knew I’d love to create a pair of fun earrings using resin. I use a mold to set the beads in a pattern and play around with different positions until I get happy with design layout.

The silicon molds come in variety of shapes and easily available to purchase online. They come with a handy ready made hole in the design too!

I steadily squeeze the ready mixed resin into the molds over the beads right into the corners. I make make sure no air bubbles floating around too . If they come up I prick them out with a pin as soon as I can before it starts to harden.

Then I pop them under a u v light for a couple of minutes. This cures and sets the resin hard.

When I take them out of the mold carefully I check that the underside is not sticky, if it is I put them in bottom side up under the uv light for another minute.

The the next step is to add the fixings and jump rings and ear hooks. I use round nosed pliers to help this process.

Add jump rings

Fruity dangles now ready to wear proudly!
