How to Create a Pair of Gorgeous Christmas Earrings

Tools and materials:

• Beads
• Beading wire
• Beading pliers
• Earring hooks
• Scissors
• Headpins
• Eye pins
• Tassels

1. Place each crystal on its own pin

Start with your headpins and crystals. Place each crystal on its own headpin.

2. Bend in place 

Use your pliers to bend each pin.

3. Create a loop for each crystal

Next, create loops on each pin by clasping the end of the wire with your pliers and turning the pliers so a loop is created with the length of the pin.

If a pin is too long you can clip it down, but make sure you leave enough wire to turn it twice to make two loops.

4. Place the tassel on the eye pin

Now that your elements are ready, take your eye pin and open the loop a bit.

Place the sharp end of the eye pin through the top of the tassel and slide the top of the tassel into the loop. Then close the loop with your pliers.

5. Add crystals to the eye pin 

Start to add your crystals, threading each one onto the pin. You can add the crystals in a pattern to make it look nice.

Once your elements are in place, take one more crystal to decorate it at the end.

6. Create attachment loop on each pin

Bend the eye pin to keep the crystals in place and cut off any excess wire, leaving enough to create two loops.

Using the needle nose pliers, create a loop at the top of the eye pin just like you created the loops for the crystals. Clasp the end of the wire and turn the pliers inward twice.

7. Attach to earring hooks

Take your earring and open the hook. Attach your creation into the earring hook and close the hook back up with the pliers.
