Need a Costume? Keep an Eye on This Leela of Futurama Makeup Tutorial

I don’t know about you, but my favorite animated series is Futurama. Today, I’m going to be doing a Leela from Futurama makeup tutorial. It’s so unique and definitely fun to create.
You may be wondering how I’ll be doing Leela eye with makeup - well, you’re just going to have to wait and see the stunning results. Let’s start!
Tools and materials:
- White tank top
- Black pants
- Water
- Brow spoolie
- Makeup sponge
- Brushes
- Primer
- Non-toxic glue stick
- White eyeshadow pencil or body paint
- Black and white eyeliners
- Matte white powder eyeshadow
- Full coverage foundation
- Red/orange concealer or lipstick
- Setting powder
- Bronzer or contour product
- Light pink lipstick
- Dark pink lip liner
- Purple wig or purple hairspray
- Hairspray
- Hairbrushes
- Black scrunchie or hair tie
1. Prep and prime
Grab a glue stick and completely coat all of your eyebrow hairs.
With a spoolie, brush all the hairs straight up. Then, while you’re waiting for the glue to dry, apply a primer to the rest of your face.
Once the glue is semi-dry, grab your glue stick and use it as a rolling pin to roll the hairs upward.
When the glue is 100% dry, grab some setting powder and tap it onto your brows.
Now apply a thinner, second coat of glue over your brow hairs. Then, just as the first time, roll your hair upward, and set it with setting powder. Repeat this process. In total, you should have three layers.
Tip: Note that each layer of glue takes a little bit longer to dry.
2. How to do Leela's eye with makeup
Now, grab a white eyebrow pencil, and start drafting out Leela’s eye. It should be an oval, wide enough to cover both your eyes, and sit halfway down your nose.
This step may take time. Be sure to perfect it, as it’s the focal point of the Leela makeup look.
Coat your eyelashes with a white pencil. Use a small brush if needed. Also, tightline your waterline.
3. Disguising the eyebrows
Use a damp cloth to smooth the edges of the glue.
With an orange concealer or lipstick, go over the brow hairs outside of the central eye.
Use a jumbo eyeshadow to cover the brows inside the eye.
Then, fill in the rest of your eyes with a flat brush.
4. Completing the Leela eye
Add a second layer of white with either body paint or a water-activated white eyeliner.
5. Apply foundation
Apply full coverage foundation to the rest of your face, including your neck. Get as close to the white as you can.
With a small brush, perfect the edge of the eye with some foundation.
6. Set makeup
Now, set your foundation with setting powder.
7. Apply lipstick
Grab a hot pink lip liner and line all the way around your lips. Slightly round out your lips and connect the top and bottom. Fill in your lips with a light pink lipstick.
8. Drawing the details of the eye
Draw a thick line around the edge of the white eye with black eyeliner.
Then, draw some thick eyelashes.
Fill in the pupil in the center.
9. Contour
Grab a bronzer or contouring product and use it to define your jawline.
10. Wear your costume
Before we move on to the hair, go ahead and put on your white tank and black pants. Then cover yourself with a robe or towel to protect it.
11. Do the hair
Section off some side bangs and put them in a bun.
Tease your hair just on the front half of your head. Use hair spray to keep it in place. Then, go downward, section by section, and tease your hair accordingly. Also, tease the sides.
Now, put it all in a high ponytail.
Split your bangs in half horizontally and tease the middle. Fix it the way you like and add hairspray.
Use purple hairspray all over your head. Put a plastic lid in front of your face when spraying the bangs.
