Make Your Own Headband Out of Braids!
Did you know you can make your own headband out of braids?
Headbands are so cute. They’re a great way to add a little something to your look when you want to wear your hair down.
If you want to wear a headband but you don’t have any around, or if you’re one of those people who gets headaches from wearing them, this is a great alternative.
Tools and materials:
- Small hair elastics
- Bobby pins
1. Section, braid, repeat
Go to the right side of your head and separate the front of your hair a bit.
Grab a section of hair from the bottom of your hairline behind your ear.
Make a braid and tie it with a small hair elastic.
Then pull at the strands of the braid along the length of it to add a bit more volume.
Repeat on the other side of your head, pulling out a section of hair and braiding it. Again, pull at the sides of the braid to add volume.
2. Pin and secure
Take one braid and pull it over and across your head, securing it to the opposite side with a bobby pin.
Take the other braid and do the same thing, securing it on the opposite side of your head.
Braid headband
I love that this look is so simple to achieve and only requires two hair elastics and some bobby pins. I just think it looks so adorable.
