If you have curtain bangs as I do, you’ll know how sometimes it’s not easy to get them looking full and bouncy around your face.

So I came up with this little hack for extra volume. Velcro rollers are easy to use and you don’t need to hold them in place with hair grips.

Tools and materials:

  • Tail comb
  • Two jumbo Velcro rollers
  • Hair straighteners
Separating bangs

1. Separate your bangs

Divide your bangs horizontally across the center of your head.

Using the rollers

2. Use the rollers

Run your straighteners over the back portion of the bangs while holding it straight up.

Using the rollers

While your hair is still warm, wrap that section over a jumbo roller, winding it towards the back of your head.

Using the rollers

Now do the same with the front section, but this time pull it forwards and down with the straighteners and wind it forwards on to the roller.

Styling hair

3. Style the rest of your hair

Wind your hair in sections around the straighteners. Make sure to lift the roots.

When you get to the end of each section, twist it around the straighteners to add a loose, bouncy curl to the ends.

Unwinding rollers

4. Unwind the rollers

Remove the rollers carefully.

Running fingers through hair

Don’t brush or comb the curls. Run your fingers through your hair to relax it without removing the volume.

And voila! Stylish curls swinging casually around your face, and lots of volume in your hair. An easy way to perk up your hair in the morning.
