No-sew Vest Created From Ties
I love styling everyday things in unconventional ways, and here I’m going to show you how to create a no-sew vest from ties.
Grab around ten ties in different colors and patterns, and let me show you what to do!
Tools and materials:
- Ties
- Safety pin
1. Place ties around neck
Start by placing ties around your neck.
You want to alternate the fat sides and the thin sides so that you have both of them around each side of your neck to achieve a balanced and visually appealing look.
2. Continue adding ties
Continue adding ties, placing them further away from your neck and more towards your shoulders, working your way out.
You don’t want any ties covering other ones entirely, each tie should show in the design.
Ensure that you like the pattern you’ve created and make any necessary adjustments.
Also, spread the ties out so that they are well-spaced.
3. Tie a tie round the waist
Finish the design by tying a tie around your waist. Secure it at the back with a safety pin.

Here is the finished tie vest. This is such a unique look - you’re not going to see anyone else wearing something like this.
I love how all the ties I chose complement one another, and they really stand out against the background of my white shirt.
