Trench Coat- a Timeless Classic
A Trench coat is one of the most classic and versatile wardrobe staples.
Since its creation in the 1850s, it’s been featured season after season and remains a firm wardrobe favourite.
A trench coat is ideal for the inbetween seasons. It can be hard to know what to wear when the weather is all over the place – warm one minute and cold the next. So a trench coat is a perfect coat- it’s lightweight yet warm enough to shield from the wind and rain. Throw it over a jumper and you are good to go.
A trenchcoat is so versatile- you can wear it casually with jeans and a jumper or over an office look of tailored trousers and a thin poloneck.
Choose a trench in fail safe colours that you can enjoy all year-round, such as beige, khaki and black. In the photo above I’ve created an all neutral outfit, incorporating a beige trench which completes the whole outfit perfectly.
The ideal thing about a trenchcoat is it’s flattering style that suits all shapes and sizes.
It suits slim frames and curvier women too. The belt is perfect to cinch in the waist and accentuate silhouettes in all the right places.
Trench coats often elongate the body, due to their longer length, making you look taller than you really are.
