White and Whimsical and Oh So Sweet...

Pure 100% Cotton...it is tough to find 100 % Cotton...

Cool to Wear...

Beautiful Embroidery Stitching...

Almost Lyrical...

I Love this Nightgown...BUT...

After Numerous Washings, the front-closure buttons are falling off.

With missing buttons, the gown is almost impossible to wear...Sadly, it was ready to be TOSSED...

Cotton Nightgown...Amazon LINK.

True it was a tad old and a bit frayed...And I was missing buttons in all the vital places...

But I wasn't ready to invest in finding buttons that would work and sewing the buttons back on...

So the Alternative?? Pitch it...BUT...Wait!!!

Let's Cut ALL the Buttons Off and Start Fresh...

And Permanently Sew up the Open Front Gown!

How to Save a Button-Front Nightgown...In One Easy Step:

Step 1: Turn the Gown Inside Out...Place the two front panels - Right Sides Together...

Step 2: Sew the Front Panels Closed...

I did two rows of stitching for a Neat and Secure Finish...

Done!

I left the Top Gap for a bit of interest...

Sweet and Neat and Closed...

Easy to Wear...No Tugging...No Flying-Off Buttons...

Ready for a Bright New Morning...Or a Special Evening.

Yes definitely would do this, I like this idea! I'll hand sew mine because my sewing machine somehow had a part go missing... but that's ok, this idea will work for me anyway! I've got a cotton nightgown that needs buttons also but it'll be better without them now!☺
