In this tutorial, I’m going to show you how to get a Pamela Anderson-inspired hairstyle. Let’s jump right into it!

Tools and materials:

  • Hair tie
  • Double-prong clips
  • Bobby pins
  • Heat protectant
  • Curling wand
  • Hair spray
Pulling out bangs

1. Pull out your bangs

Pull your hair into an updo, and pull out your bangs—two in the front, and two on the side.

Leave a piece of hair in the center of the front bangs pulled back.

Tying hair up

2. Tie your hair up

Tie the rest of your hair into a high ponytail.

Applying heat protectant

3. Apply heat protectant

Spray your ponytail with a heat protectant.

Curling ponytail

4. Curl the ponytail into small sections

Separating off small sections, curl each one by wrapping your hair multiple times around a curling wand. I did about six sections.

Curls

How many curls you create will depend on the thickness of your hair, but you want several small ones.

Pinning hair up

5. Pin the ponytail into a messy bun

Messily wrap the ponytail around itself to create a bun. As you wrap, pin each “layer” into place.

Double-prong curl clips

Use a few of these double-prong curl clips in the center of the bun to keep it all together.

Curling bangs

6. Curl the bangs

Curl each strand of the bangs you pulled out earlier, and spray them with hairspray so the curl will hold.

Pinning side bangs

7. Pin the side bangs

Pin up the curled side bangs near the bun.

Hairspray the entire look, and you’re done!
