I've made the coolest linen trousers, they are super cute and I'm ready to show you how to make your own and style them 2 ways!!

I made the linen pants with a really great new trouser pattern called the Mitchell trousers from Closet Core and you can grab your copy here >

I made them in a really lovely cotton linen blend fabric from Minerva which you can find here >

Firstly we need to make darts in the back legs and add a strap, this is a really great feature of the trousers and fastens the side back and side front together, which is very unusual and you know I love a quirky feature!!

Next we're going to add pocket bags and welt pockets to the back legs.

I'm really rather pleased with that!!

Next we fold the pleats in the front legs and add some D rings for those straps to attach to!

Once the pleats are pressed in we can add the pocket bags to the trouser fronts.

Then we stitch the 2 front legs together at the fly and add the zip.

Next we need to stitch the front legs and back legs together at the side and inside seams.

Almost done now, just the waist facing and hems to finish and we're going to style them up!

Isn't this the perfect cool summer look, white T shirt and white linen trousers, what could be a more classic look for a summer day shopping round the town?

Or what about this styling version, paired with a cashmere roll neck and cosy cardi for a warm, cosy winter version! Which is your fav?
