These Simple Gold & Purple Christmas Nails Are Like Berries & Cream

Today, we’re doing another Christmas-inspired nail design to get you in a jolly mood for the festive season. I’ll show you how to do gold and purple Christmas nails in just a few easy steps.
All you’ll need for these exquisite purple holiday nails is gold and dark purple nail polish! It’s fairly easy and looks divine. Ready to get your nail game on? Let’s do this!
Tools and materials:
- Purple nail polish
- Gold glitter nail polish
- Tweezers
- Nail tape
- Base coat
- Top coat
1. Apply purple nail polish
Start off your purple holiday nails by applying two coats of dark purple nail polish on your nails.
2. Apply nail tape
Now, to get the gold stripes even and polished, it’s best to use nail tape for this step.
Wait until your nails are completely dry and then cut off some strips of nail tape. Apply them diagonally, on the top side of the nails, as shown.
3. Apply gold glitter nail polish
Now for the fun part! Apply your favorite gold glittery nail polish on the sides.
4. Remove the tape
Once you’ve applied glitter nail polish to one nail, remove the tape immediately, so that the tape doesn't get stuck to the nail when the polish dries. Then, repeat steps 3 and 4 on your other nails.
Tip: Remove the tape with a pair of tweezers.
5. Add a top coat
Now, add a clear top coat to seal in the design and achieve that stunning glossy finish.
Gold & purple Christmas nails tutorial
I absolutely love these purple Christmas nails. They are so beautiful and I think they work well with just about any nail length or shape. They remind me of a gift wrapped in purple wrapping paper, tied with a gold ribbon, or a rich "berries and cream" Christmas dessert!
