Quick Makeup for Over 50s: How to Apply Makeup For Older Women

Nobody loves spending a lot of time putting on face makeup. In this video, I’m going to show you a quick makeup routine for over 50s.
Half of the time is spent on your foundation, which is particularly important for mature skin. If you get that just right, the rest can be done very quickly. So set your timer for 5 minutes, and let’s get going!
Tools and materials:
- Foundation
- Beauty balm
- Primer
- Concealer
- Finishing powder
- Makeup brushes
I'm using makeup from Look Fabulous Forever, which is specially designed for older skin, but you can replicate the same techniques with your own preferred products.
1. Start with foundation
Add a tiny squirt of beauty balm and a squirt of primer to your foundation and apply that to your face with a large makeup brush.
Start in the center of your face and work outwards to create a unified texture on your skin, hide superficial blemishes and even your skin tone. The primer will help give you smooth coverage that will last.
Use your fingertips to help blend in the foundation.
2. Apply concealer
Start by pressing the concealer into the inner corners of your eyes with a small makeup brush and then blend it out under your eyes.
Add concealer down the sides of your nose and on your chin if there are spots you want covered.
Again, use your fingertips to help blend in the concealer.
3. Add highlighter
Apply a highlighter at the tops of your cheekbones and on your brow bones.
Pat it in with your fingertips.
4. Apply blush
Use a large makeup brush to apply blush to your cheeks starting below the center of your eye and swirling it up to the top of your cheekbone.
5. Finish with powder
With a large fluffy makeup up brush, lightly sweep on some translucent finishing powder all over your face.
Use a small makeup brush to add some powder under your eyes where you applied concealer.
Quick makeup for over 50s
Stop the clock! Can you see how even and smooth my face looks? This will last all day without needing any touch-ups, and it’s a really good base for your eye makeup and lipstick.
