Easy Makeup Tutorial: How to Apply Eyeliner for Over 50s
If you want to learn how to apply eyeliner, with a new little trick that’s especially good for eyeliner applications for the over 50 crowd, then follow along with this tutorial!
The products I'm using today are from the Look Fabulous Forever range, made specifically for mature skin. However, you can achieve the same results with any brand of product.
Tools and materials:
- Eyeliner
- Eye shadow (in a matching shade to your eyeliner)
- Mascara
1. Apply eyeliner
Gently apply a soft eyeliner to your lids, along your upper lash line.
Go as close to your lashes as you possibly can.
Now, apply the same eyeliner to the outer, corner edge of your lower lashes.
Join the upper and lower lines at the outside corner of your eye.
Slightly extend that corner line for a very small wing.
2. Add shading
Using a small wedge brush, softly apply eyeshadow, in a similar shade to your eyeliner, just going over top of your eyeliner.
This step will help further define your eyes and set your eyeliner so that it will last all day.
Repeat, adding shade to your lower eyeline.
3. Apply mascara
To apply your mascara, sweep the mascara wand upwards through your eyelashes, using a zigzag motion from the roots to the tips of your lashes.
Apply a second coat if desired.
Repeat on your lower lashes, using a smaller amount of mascara than you did for your upper lashes.
