Ready for Christmas? Here's How to Do Cute Red Nails With Snowflakes

Nothing gets me in the Christmas spirit quite like some beautiful winter nail art. In this DIY, I’m going to show you how to create red nails with a snowflake design on them.
Whether you’ve had experience with nail art before or not, anyone can easily follow along with this step-by-step tutorial and create this fabulous design.
Tools and materials:
- Base coat
- Red nail polish
- White nail polish
- Clear nail polish
- Thin brush
- Dotting tool
1. Apply base coat
Start off by applying a clear base coat to your nails.
2. Apply red nail polish
Once the base coat is clear, you’re going to go in with some red nail polish. Red is the Christmas color, and I love featuring it in my makeup and accessories at this time of year. When done, wait for it to dry.
3. Apply another coat of red nail polish
Then, you’re going to apply a second coat of red nail polish. This will create a greater color intensity.
4. Draw the snowflake design
The next step is to create the snowflake design with some white nail polish. To do this, you will need a thin brush. The thinner the brush, the more precise you’ll be able to be with the design.
To draw the snowflake, draw a vertical line running down the middle of your nail and then two diagonal lines in a cross shape on top. At the end of each line, feather it out to create the ends of the snowflakes.
5. Add white dots
Next, add white dots with your dotting tool that will look like falling snow. When done, let it dry.
6. Apply top coat
The last step is to apply a clear top coat to give your nails a nice shiny finish.
