RICE WATER RINSE - DIY for Smooth, Shiny, Untangled Hair in a Flash!
Smooth, Shiny, Untangled Hair is the Goal...But with Long Hair, by the end of the day, we often have a Matted, Unruly Mop to deal with.
Add to this a Combination of Very Oily on Top with Dry, Wispy, Static Ends...and We Have Lots of Tears.
THE BEFORE: Dull Hair with an Oily Top, and Wispy, Fly-Away Ends. We were ready for a More-Than-A-Trim Hair Cut, when we discovered...The RICE WATER RINSE.
The RICE WATER RINSE for Smooth, Shiny, Strong Hair!
This is Almost Too Simple to Make...Practically Free to Create...and the Best Part...It Works!
Ingredients: Uncooked Rice. Water. Orange Peel.
Let's Go!
To Make a Quart-Jar of RICE WATER RINSE:
Step 1:
In a Large Bowl, Add 1/2 Cup Uncooked Rice.
*(We used Brown Organic Rice, but any kind of Rice works.)

Step 2:
To the Rice, Add 3 Cups of Water.
Step 3:
To the Rice and Water, Add 1 Orange Peel.
Step 4:
Let the RICE WATER RINSE Mixture Sit for 24 Hours.
The Rice will Absorb the Water. You can Add More Water to Keep the level of the water the same.
Step 5: Remove the Water from the Rice Mixture and Save the Water in a Quart Jar. The RICE WATER RINSE will be cloudy.
Refrigerate - the RICE WATER RINSE should last for one week.

Note: Rather than bring a Glass Jar in the Shower, We opted to pour a small cupful of the RICE WATER RINSE into a plastic cup to use in the shower.
Step 6: WASH YOUR HAIR AND APPLY THE RICE WATER RINSE.
Shampoo and Rinse Your Hair.
Next, Pour RICE WATER RINSE over your hair from Root to Tip.
Massage the RICE WATER RINSE into your scalp.
Let RICE WATER RINSE Stay on Your Hair until you are finished with the Shower.
Finally, Thoroughly RINSE OUT the RICE WATER RINSE with Cool Water.
Let Your Hair Air Dry.
You can do a RICE WATER RINSE about 1 time each week.
For Oily Hair, Use More Often.
THE AFTER: 2 completed RICE WATER RINSE treatments.
THE RESULTS: Smooth. Shiny. Untangled, No Static Hair.
