Easy DIY Scuba Diver Costume
Who doesn’t love scuba diving? I, for one, am a big fan of it and I thought that this Halloween I would incorporate this fun hobby which I enjoy so much into my Halloween outfit. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you - the scuba diver costume.
Tools and materials:
- 1l or 2l plastic bottles
- Bottle cap
- Plastic tube
- Straps
- Duct tape
- Washi tape
- Paint
- Glue gun
- Cardboard
- Stapler
- Lid
- Snorkel
- Goggles
1. Cover the plastic bottles
Start by removing any labels from your plastic bottles. Proceed to cover the bottles with black duct tape and paint any part of the bottles that are still exposed with black paint. These bottles will be your scuba diving cylinders.
2. Insert the tube to the cap
Now take the bottle cap from one of the bottles, poke a hole in it and thread the plastic tube through the hole.
3. Decorate the bottles
Tape the bottles together and then I also go around with a hot glue gun and glue it around the edge. Proceed to paint the glue pink. Then take some washi tape and stick it around the bottles to add a little more detail.
4. Mount the bottles
Next, take some thick cardboard or other material that's wide enough and sturdy enough to mount the bottles onto. Paint or tape the cardboard black.
5. Attach the straps
Then get your straps and staple or glue them onto the cardboard. Once done, glue the bottles on.
6. Make a mouthpiece
Take a lid and glue that onto the other end of the tube to make a mouthpiece. Glue the top part of a drinking bottle on top of this.

Wearing an all-black outfit is the perfect way to complete your scuba diver costume as well as a pair of goggles and a snorkel. I went for ones in pink that match the pink design of the scuba diving cylinders.
