Wow how is it October already?

As the weather descends into autumn I'm ready to make all the cosy clothes, in fact I'm starting right here in sharing my latest make, its a Jackson Pullover in the cosiest sweat shirting. I'm going to share with you how I made it and then how to style it two ways. One dressed up and ready for a day in the office and one as cosy loungewear!

I used the Jackson Tee and sweater pattern by Helens Closet which you can find here > Jackson Tee and Pullover » Helen's Closet Patterns (helensclosetpatterns.com) and for the snuggest sweater I used this Denim Blue fleece backed sweat shirting from Minerva which you can grab here > Minerva Core Range Melange Polycotton Fleece Back Sweatshirt Stretch Knit Fabric | 1422460 | Minerva

The Jackson, comes as both a Tee pattern with short sleeves and as a sweater both of which can be a longer or cropped shape. I chose the sweater with long sleeves and the shorter more cropped length as I think its more flattering and suits my style more.

The first step was to join the front and back bodice at the shoulders.

The next step is to stitch the sleeves onto the bodice, right sides together.

Next up we stitch the long side seam together from the sleeve cuff all the way through the under arm right down to the waistband.

We're almost finished as this is such a quick make, just the cuffs, neck band and waist band to apply and we're all ready to style it up!

I really love how this sweater can be styled up with some nice black shoes, smart trousers and a crisp white shirt under neath, I think this is a perfect smart work wear outfit.

However, come he weekend, this styling as lounge wear with some cosy joggers could not be more comfy!!
