DIY a Holiday Sweatshirt With Any Design You Can Print
Here’s a quick and easy way to make a holiday sweatshirt with any design you like.
You just need a cheap sweatshirt, some glue and glitter and access to a color printer.
30 minutes later, you’ll have a brand new sweatshirt!
Tools and materials:
- Sweatshirt
- Mod Podge fabric glue
- Color printer
- Scissors
- Brush
- Glitter
1. Sweatshirt
I got one for $10 from Walmart. Choose a festive color.
2. Glue
You want a fabric glue like Mod Podge that won’t soak through the paper.
3. Design
There are so many festive designs available online!
Just choose one you like and print it out.
4. Cut out
Cut around the design carefully.
5. Brush on glue
Use a brush to apply the glue to the back of the design.
Make sure you cover it completely.
6. Press
Carefully press the design on to the front of the sweatshirt.
Leave it to dry.
7. Glitter
Paste more glue around the edge of the design on the right side.
Sprinkle loose glitter over it and brush off the excess.

One instant sweatshirt!
Of course, if you leave it like this, you won’t be able to wash it.
You can print on to plasticized fabric instead of paper or cover the finished design with a layer of clear polyurethane coating, clear acrylic spray paint or lacquer spray sealers to waterproof it.
