THE VIDEO HAS CAPTIONS IN ENGLISH. ALL OUR PATTERNS COME WITH STEP BY STEP DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH.

STEP 1 – NECK STRAPS: Fold NECK STRAPS (3) in half lengthwise, RIGHT SIDES TOGETHER. Stitch long edges with a very narrow zig-zag or serge. Make sure to stretch the fabric while you sew.

Turn RIGHT SIDE OUT with a loop turner of safety pin.

STEP 2 - BACK: With RIGHT SIDES together, pin Fabric A BACK (2) pieces matching notches. Sew. Repeat the process with Fabric B.

STEP 3 - CROTCH: Open BACK (2). Pin Fabric A FRONT (1) to Fabric A BACK (2) in the crotch, matching notches. Sew, stretching as necessary. Pin Fabric B FRONT (1) to Fabric B BACK (2) in the crotch, matching notches. Sew, leaving a 2” (5 cm) opening in the center, stretching as necessary.

STEP 4 – LEGS: With RIGHT sides together, sew Fabric A to Fabric B in the leg area, leaving a ¼”    (6 mm) seam allowance.

STEP 5 – ELASTICS: Sew elastics in the leg area, starting and stopping ¼” (6 mm) before the edge. Turn the swimsuit inside out.

STEP 6: SIDES: Open the suit on the sides. Pin Fabric A FRONT to Fabric A BACK, and Fabric B FRONT to Fabric B BACK RIGHT SIDES together, matching notches. Sew.

STEP 7 – STRAPS AND LOOPS:  To make the back loops, cut two 2” (5 cm) pieces from the neck straps. On the BACK, sew the loops, starting 1/4” (6 mm) from the top border. Make sure to back tack. Fold the strap and sew again, just on top of where you already sewed.

For the neck straps, center them on both ends of the front neckline. Sew, making sure to back stitch a few times.

STEP 8 – TURN: Locate the opening in the crotch area, pull the suit through it, and pin the neckline RIGHT SIDES together. This part is a bit tricky, but iI suggest you watch the video (above) .

STEP 9 – NECKLINE: With RIGHT sides together, sew Fabric A to Fabric B, all through the neckline area, leaving. Sew elastic in the neckline area where you just sewed, starting and finishing ¼” (6 mm) before the edge. Turn the swimsuit inside out, though the crotch opening.

STEP 10 - Finishes: Close the crotch opening, using a very narrow zigzag stitch, sewing as close as possible from the edge.

Insert the neck straps on the back loops, using a safety pin. To add the cord ends (optional), cut the ends of the straps diagonally and insert the cord ends. Using a pin to pull the strap is helpful. Tie a knot on each end and cut the remaining close to the knot.
