Take Your Bubble Braids up a Level
In this tutorial, I’m going to show you how to take your bubble braids up a notch.
Get ready to move up a level with this gorgeous look that combines bubble braids with regular plaited braids.
Tools and materials:
- Hair ties
- Hair elastics
- Spray bottle
1. Divide hair
Start by separating your hair down the middle, and then dividing each side into two, tying up the top part so that it’s out the way.
2. Tie ponytail
Tie the bottom section into three small ponytails.
3. Braid each section
Proceed to braid each section, securing the bottoms with elastics.
4. Join braids with top section
Let the top part of your hair down. Then bring the front braid up to the top of your head and join it with a section of hair at the top.
Tie the braid, together with the other section of hair, into a ponytail.
5. Join up other braids
Proceed to bring the other two braids up to the top of your head, joining them to the ponytail.
You will have the braids going up vertically from the sides and the ponytail coming down horizontally from the top.
6. Repeat
Repeat the same process on the other side of your head.
7. Spray
I like to finish off by spraying my pigtails with water to give them some more moisture. Scrunch the water in.

Here is the finished look!
I like to call this bubble braids 2.0 as I love the combination of the braids on the sides with the regular bubble braids at the top.
You also have the option of tying or clipping the pigtails up which would look like this.
