When highlighting an oval face you want to focus on the mid area of your face so it enhances the middle part of your face rather than the top and bottom which would make it look longer.

When you do highlight the bottom of the face you want to add highlight on the outer side of the jaw then blend it upwards. You don't want to get any highlight on your chin.

The same concept applies to your forehead. To widen the forehead area place your highlight on the outside rather than the center of your forehead.

Then keep everything horizontal and place some highlight under your eye. Make sure you blend everything out going towards the outside of your face.
