This DIY One-Shoulder Crop Top is Comfortable & So Luxurious

Satin is so comfortable to wear - it looks and feels so luxurious. Follow this tutorial to make your own DIY one-shoulder satin crop top. You can wear it with jeans for a chic casual look, or as a glamorous piece when you’re dressing up. Let's get started.
Tools and materials:
- Satin fabric
- Shirt from your wardrobe
- Thread
- Scissors
- Ruler
- Fabric chalk
- Sewing machine
- Pins
1. Create the one-shoulder crop top pattern
Fold the satin fabric in half. Using a top that fits you well as a template, lay it on top of your folded fabric. Make sure you don’t have any part of the top on the fold of the fabric.
Using fabric chalk, trace the outline of it onto the fabric, adding a half-inch all around for a seam allowance. If the top you are tracing has sleeves, fold the sleeves in, so you are just tracing the armholes. Since this is a one-shoulder crop top, you only need to trace one armhole.
Using a ruler, draw a diagonal line from the top of the shoulder you traced, to the bottom of the other armpit.
2. Cut out the shape
Cut out the one-shoulder crop-top pattern that you just drew.
3. Sew the one-shoulder crop top seams
Put the two pieces of cut fabric together, with right sides facing in. Pin the right and left sides of the one-shoulder crop top and sew the side seams.
Then sew the shoulder seam of the crop top.
4. Sew the one-shoulder crop top hems
Fold in the edges of the strapless diagonal side of the shirt and pin the fold. Then, sew along the edge of the fold. Don’t sew this together – remember this is the strapless opening of the crop top.
Double-fold the hem of the one-shoulder crop top to keep the hem from fraying. Sew the hem.
Double-fold the edge of the one-shoulder armhole and sew that hem in place.
