I've made a gorgeous summer vest top, all glorious vibrant flowers, but as we head into the Autumn I'll show you how to style it not only for a day at the beach but also layered up for lunch out on a chilly autumn day!!

Just add sunny's, a pair of pumps and were off to the beach!!

This super cute pattern is based on the Olvie tank by DG Patterns.

Let me share all the making facts with you!

The fabric was from Minerva.com Minerva Exclusive Vibrant Flowers Viscose Challis Fabric | 1271425 | Minerva

Once the pieces are all cut out we need to add the bust darts.

Then the shoulder seams and the side seams are stitched together. At this point as you can see I quickly tried it on and decided it was too big, so I took one inch in at each side.

Now, to add some extra interest I added contrast bias binding to the neck and arm holes, I know this is possibly more work than some people would choose, but I think it really elevates a simple tank to another level. Nearly done now, just the hem to sew and were all done!!

So hear we are, I showed you styling this cute tank for a day at the beach but what about those autumn days which can be glorious but also chilly, here it is with some super soft cord trousers and an oversized cardi!?

I really hope you like my pretty summer top, its getting so much wear, so cool to wear in the recent summer heat wave and I know I'm going to wear this lots through the autumn too!!
