Get Ready for Romance With This Glam Valentine's Day Makeup Tutorial
Valentine’s Day is special, and you may be planning a special Valentine’s Day outing. That’s an occasion that calls for a special Valentine’s Day makeup look. So, follow along with this Valentine’s Day makeup tutorial to learn how to make your eyes and lips extra luscious on this special day.
Tools and materials:
- Brown/bronze eyeshadow palette
- Shimmery eyeshadow
- Assorted eye makeup brushes
- Mascara
- False eyelashes
- Bold lipstick
- Lipstick liner
1. Sparkling eyes
Apply a pinky-brown shade of eyeshadow at the top of your eye socket above your upper eyelids, but don’t go all the way up to your eyebrow.
Next apply a slightly darker shade of eyeshadow in the crease of your eyelid.
Now, use a lighter, shimmery shade of eyeshadow from your palette on your upper eyelids and in the inner corners of your eyes.
If you want to intensify the shimmery eyeshadow, you can apply a bit more with your fingertip instead of a brush.
Apply a bronze shade of eyeshadow to the outer half of your eyelid crease to add depth. Use the brush to blend it upwards a little bit.
With the same bronze shade, use an angled brush to apply the eyeshadow to the outer corners of your eyes.
Use a large fluffy eye makeup brush to blend out the corner eyeshadow.
Apply the same bronze shadow under your lower lash line, from the outer edge to where the shimmery shadow in the corner ends.
Use a larger eye makeup brush with the first light shade of shadow you used and apply that to your lower lash line as well, to smudge the darker shadow a bit.
2. Fluttering eyelashes
Apply your regular mascara to your eyelashes.
Now apply spiky false eyelashes to your eyelids. Spiky false eyelashes are not the easiest false eyelashes to put on, but they do allow all of the other beautiful work you’ve done on your eyes to show through!
3. Bold lips
If there is ever a time to go for bold lips, Valentine’s Day would be that time! On clean dry lips, apply a bold lipstick shade.
If you are not an expert at applying lipstick, you can use a lip liner first as a guide for the lipstick.
