10 Stunning Holiday Outfit Ideas for Women Over 40
Today, I’m sharing 10 stunning outfit ideas for women over 40 that are just perfect for the holidays.
These holiday inspired outfits would work for a holiday party, a date night, winter wedding or even a fun, girls night out!

1. Holiday glam
This gown is luxurious and hugs your curves in all the right places. I love the sexy cut-out in the front. I wore black platforms so I didn’t need to hem the dress.
It has a beautiful cut-out in the back as well.
Wear a faux-fur jacket draped off your shoulders to give the appearance of a fur stole while showing off the sexy, back detail.
I got tons of compliments on this beautiful dress!
2. The edgy looks
This black dress with the plunging cut-out in the front actually has a mesh fabric inside that offers more coverage and peace-of-mind.
I love mixing faux-fur with faux-leather.
I took the same blazer and paired it with a simple, black bodysuit and my all-time favorite faux leather, flared pants.
This form-fitting dress is tastefully sexy. It’s made of a beautiful, faux-leather that looks and feels real.
It also comes in burgundy, which would be perfect for Christmas.
3. The red knit dress
This option is a red, knit, form-fitting dress. The fabric makes it more casual.
The scoop neckline was too low for me, so I wore a faux-leather bralette underneath to feel more comfortable.
The bright red is so on trend for fall and winter.
4. The gold slip dress
A slip dress is a timeless classic that can be worn in so many ways.
I love to pair this dress with a black leather jacket that has gold hardware, picking up from the shade of the dress.
5. The cold weather winner
This cozy turtleneck midi dress is chic and will keep you warm if you live in a cold location.
It’s form-fitting but not too tight. If you aren't comfortable wearing tight dresses, you can always order a size up.
I topped it with a beautiful, ivory, statement coat and matching handbag. There’s nothing more elegant than an all white ensemble!

6. The metallic suit
Anything metallic, silver or gold, just screams “holiday”.
The blazer is just the right amount fitted and underneath I’m wearing a simple, white bodysuit.
It’s perfectly acceptable to mix gold and silver. I’m wearing gold heels with this silver suit.
7. Gold sequins
My next holiday look revolves around a gold, sequin jacket.
I love this black bodysuit under these black, coated pants with the front slit up the ankle.
The midrise fit with the skyscraper hemline is the perfect formula for making your legs look longer and slimmer.
It feels polished and fancy, but you can also dress it down with jeans and a white tank top for more casual plans.
8. Chocolate is the new black
Chocolate brown is one of the hottest colors this fall/winter. It’s a softer take on wearing an all-black ensemble.

The beauty of ordering a matching set is that you can split up the blazer from the pants to create new looks. I love the flow of this set and the high-waisted pants are slimming.

My friend and I both took this beautiful, red velvet blazer and styled it differently.
My friend wore the red velvet set for a dressier outfit, on top of a white, sequin-embellished t-shirt.
10. Gun-metal jumpsuit
Check out this daring, gun-metal jumpsuit that I plan to wear for my 50th birthday bash.
The plunging V neckline will definitely turn heads but I feel incredible when I put this on.
I’ve paired it with this gorgeous, purple, faux-fur jacket.
This outfit has a very glamorous, 70s vibe.
