How to Pick Holiday Coats for the Festive Season: 8 Cute Winter Coats

In this lookbook, I’m going to be sharing with you 8 holiday coats for the festive season. When it’s cold and you’re wrapped up nice and warm, your coat really acts as the main part of your outfit, so it’s important to get one that will keep you looking stylish and festive during the holidays.

Long red tartan coat for the holidays

1. Red tartan coat

First up, we have a red tartan print coat in a very warm wool material. It has pockets on either side, and it's single-breasted. Red is a great Christmas color, and this one also has green in the tartan design, which is a double win.

All in all, I love the tartan print, and I feel that this coat is very sophisticated and polished.

White feathery Christmas coat

2. White feathery coat

Here we have something a bit more extravagant: a white coat with pearls dotted around on the top and fluffy, feathery detail on the bottom. It has three clips that you can do up to close to the coat, or you can just clip the top and make it look more like a cape.

I love how unique this coat is; I really haven’t seen anything like it before. It's very "Winter Wonderland."

Leopard-print jacket for the holidays

3. Leopard-print jacket

Here, I’m wearing a leopard-print jacket. I am a huge fan of animal print, so when I saw this jacket I obviously had to buy it. If you’re wearing plain and simple clothing, this is a great jacket to throw over the top to add some personality to the look.

4. Teddy coat

Here, I’m wearing a teddy coat, and it is so cozy, I feel like I’m hugging an actual teddy bear! My husband makes fun of me when I wear this and says that it looks like a bathrobe, but I love it - he doesn’t know what he’s talking about!

I really like the length of this coat, it is super long, and I’ve never had a teddy coat this length before; all of my other ones have been waist length. The coat doesn’t have buttons, but you could throw a belt over it to keep it closed.

Furry coat for the holidays

5. Furry coat

Up next is this red wine faux fur coat, another super warm coat. I love how soft it is, and I love the color; it’s not that bright holiday red but a more sophisticated red wine shade.

The coat has pockets on either side and not too many details. I love how simple it is, so if you’re not into embellishment or print, I would recommend a coat like this.

Women's winter coats & jackets

6. Checkered pea coat

This here is your classic pea coat in a checkered print. It’s a bit oversized, and I love jackets when they fit a bit oversized; they give off a bit of a masculine, boyfriend-style vibe.

The coat is so functional for the holidays, and because it is a neutral color, you can style it in lots of different ways. Here, I’ve gone with a simple yet cute outfit - a black turtleneck top, a gray mini skirt, and black over-the-knee boots.

Feminine and fuzzy pink winter coat

7. Fuzzy pink coat

Up next is this fuzzy jacket in pink. It’s a cute jacket to throw over a simple plain holiday look. It is also very warm, which is always a bonus during the winter months, and the fuzzy material makes it stand out. This jacket can be a good option if you’re not a fan of wearing red.

8. Red ruffle coat

Last but not least, we have a full-on, super-bright red jacket. If you’re a big fan of red, then this piece of outerwear is for you. It has some ruffles at the back and big black buttons that help create a bit of detail.

You have the option to do the buttons all the way up to the top or keep the wide neck at the top open. This jacket is super out there and guaranteed to attract attention.

How to pick a holiday coat

Those are my favorite eight coats for the festive season. We have a whole bunch of different styles, colors, and materials, so whatever aesthetic you want to create, I hope that there is something here to inspire you.

I’m looking forward to rocking these coats when I’m out and about, and I wish you happy holidays!
