It's the holiday season and you know what that means... That's right! In order to avoid the stress of theholiday season, you should have a few holiday pieces on hand for parties and get-togethers to save you timeand (honestly) the emotional effort it takes to put a cute AND polished outfit together.

I put together three (3) outfits that are super on trend this season that you can easily pull off with some items from your closet or a few of the pieces I've found online that will give you a similar look!

By picking out holiday pieces and/or full outfits out ahead of time, you avoid the inevitable, "What am I going to wear to this [insert event]?!? Crap!" Even if you forgot you even HAD that holiday party scheduled for tonight!!

The three trends and styles I chose to stick with are (1) a faux leather option, (2) a slip dress option and (3) the traditional NYE sequin option.

Leather (or faux leather, which is what I prefer)  is super on trend this fall/winter season and a skirt can easily translate into a comfy outfit to a sexy one with just a change of the top & shoes. Layer a chunky sweater on top of a leather skirt and pair with knee high boots or booties for a laid back look. Or you can pair it with a fun top like I did here (I linked a few glittery tops below!) with some funky heels.

Slip dresses may not be your grandma's favorite think to see on you, I would argue they should be the 11th closet essential ( read the top 10 closet essentials you NEED here) you need to purchase. Easy to slip underneath a cozy sweater, paired with boots in the winter or paired with heels and a chic clutch in warmer weather. It's a very versatile piece that deserves a place in your closet!

Ahh, the age old sequin dress. You may think it's tired, but there's a reason its survived for so many holiday seasons and New Years Eve ball drops. Mix it up by adding a pop of color like I did here with a deep red hue - but you can choose any color! Silver and gold go with everything after all! ;)
