How to Style a Midi-Skirt for Spring

I’m going to show you how to style a midi-skirt to create some stylish Spring outfits. Midi skirts are elegant and flattering and will keep your legs cool and breezy this Spring season. Sit back, relax, pour yourself a cold drink, and let’s get started.

How to style a midi skirt

Dalmation print

This skirt has a dalmatian print to it, and it is one of my favorites. It has so much movement to it and its thin material makes it light and breezy. I’ve paired it here with a black off-the-shoulder top (well, it’s actually a bodycon dress that I’m wearing underneath the skirt as a top - great fashion hack). I added a pair of open-toed ankle strap sandals with a square heel. It is the perfect shoe to go with this look as it is very chic yet simple. Lastly, I added a small baguette-style bag that has a color block style to it.

Sweatpant slit

This next skirt is a sweatpant material. I love that it’s super comfy, and I also love the little slit on the side. I feel that the slit brings this simple midi skirt to life. I’m wearing it with a gingham print tank top. I wanted the top to be a bit of a statement top because the skirt is all gray and understated. For footwear, I added a pair of classic black and white Adidas sneakers. I added a black crossbody bag to accessorize, and I also threw a red moto jacket over the top of the outfit for when it’s a little chilly. This is a nice dressed-down look that still looks put together.

Daisy print

This midi-skirt has a fun daisy print on it on a green background, and I put it with a cream sleeveless top. I wanted to dress this look up a little bit, so I added a pair of nude open-toed sandals. Your shoe selection can definitely determine the style of your outfit; if I were wearing this outfit with a pair of flats, it would look more dressed down. I added a white denim jacket which I feel is very crisp, very Spring, and it brings out the daisy print on the skirt even more. I’ve just kept it simple with a cream-colored clutch for the bag, which I feel fits perfectly with this look.

Mint green

The next skirt is this mint green, almost pastel color, fishtail skirt - I love the ruffle detail on the bottom. The top is the perfect match for the skirt. It is off-the-shoulder, has ruffle details on the sleeves, and I love the rose print on it. The top gives me romantic vibes, and I feel that it matches perfectly with the skirt. I added a pair of heeled open-toe sandals for the shoes - here again, I wanted to go for a dressed-up look. To make a statement, I added an all pearl bucket bag. The clothes are very sophisticated, delicate, and girly, and I feel that the purse matches that aesthetic.

Olive green

The last skirt that I’m sharing with you is this olive green one which also has a dalmatian print, although the print here is smaller, so it looks very different from the first skirt. This skirt is very flowy and has a lot of movement to it. I’ve paired it with a simple white graphic tee to create a very basic and simple look. For the shoes, I added a pair of flat white sandals. I feel that you can never go wrong with a pair of flat sandals. On the top, I’m wearing a denim jacket which has a bit of distressing on it. The last piece of the puzzle is a round wicker bag.

There we have five different midi-skirt outfits that are perfect for Spring. Each one has a different vibe to it, and you can wear them for different occasions. Let me know which one is your favorite outfit!
