Bee-ing safe this Halloween is top priority, but that doesn't mean you can't have fun doing it. Here is a super quick costume idea that will surely make you the buzz of the neighborhood!

Start with your favorite sun hat. It doesn't have to be white, but it will look more cohesive in the end.

Next, pick up 1/2 a yard of tulle from the fabric store. I chose a bigger holed option to create this look.

Using white thread, whipstitch the tulle to the brim of the hat.

Once you have it secured, try on the hat and get a friend to help you cut off the excess. I chopped it off right below my shoulders.

BRING IN THE BEES! I found these cuties on Amazon for a pack of 40. They are the sweetest felt bees that you can totally reuse after Halloween is over.

Using the same white thread, secure them all over the hat and the tulle.... do you see where I'm going with this?

Go the extra mile and print off an iron on 'Bee Safe' to adorn your white mask. If you don't have a cutting machine, you can also use fabric markers to write too!

We decided to go a little extra and add some bees to wire and stick them inside the hat to give the illusion they were flying. This part of course is totally optional.

Grab your white button up and a jar of honey and you're all set! This idea is perfect for greeting tricker treaters or bee-ing the life of a costume party!
