Are You Applying Your Concealer Wrong?
Are you applying your concealer wrong?
Concealer is great for covering blemishes, but it can also be an extremely effective way to contour and highlight the face.
This technique will help you properly apply concealer around your eyes to help lift the face and cover the dark circles under your eyes.
Tools and materials:
- Concealer one shade lighter than your skin tone
- Concealer matching your skin tone
- Makeup sponge
1. Highlight and lift
First, apply some concealer that is a shade lighter than your skin tone. Put a bit on the inner and outer corners of the lower half of your eyes.
Use this to highlight and lift your face by blending straight out and slightly up.
2. Cover your under-eyes
To cover and hide the dark area under your eyes use a concealer that matches your skin tone.
Blend it with a make-up sponge and you’re good to go.
How to apply concealer
This is the proper technique to cover your under-eyes.
I often see people doing step one and thinking that this is the full concealer process for the under-eyes.
If you want to apply concealer correctly, make sure you apply a shade that matches your skin to the dark area beneath the eye.
