This Scarf Hack Pairs Perfect With a Button Down
Here’s a scarf hack to lift your plain button down shirt into a different class.
You’ll need a long, narrow scarf for this. You could also use a large square scarf folded diagonally several times into a strip.
Tools and materials:
- Long narrow scarf
- Button down shirt
1. Pull through
Undo the top button of your shirt.
Pass the end of the scarf through the first buttonhole.
Pull it through until you have an equal length on both sides.
2. Knot
Tie the scarf in a knot over the buttonhole.
3. Wrap
Wrap both ends of the scarf around your neck in opposite directions so they cross at the back. Tuck the scarf under the collar of your shirt.
4. Collar
Bring the ends to the front of the shirt and turn down the collar.
5. Tie off
Loosen the front knot with your fingers.
Pull each end in turn through the knot and pull the ends tight.
