If you love bridesmaid braided hairstyles, you’ll adore this one.

Not only is it much easier to do than it looks, it’s the kind of style that still looks elegant even when it gets slightly messy.

Tools and materials:

  • Hair ties
  • Pearl headed pins or grips
Tying ponytail

1. Ponytail

Gather all your hair into a low ponytail. Wrap a hair tie around it and twist the tie.

As you wrap it a second time, don’t pull all the hair through. Leave a nice fat bun at the back and fan it out.

Dividing hair

2. Divide

Divide the remaining hair into two equal sections.

Work on one section at a time.

Braiding

3. Braid

Braid each section of hair and tie it off.

Fan out the braids so they’re nice and thick.

Lifting braid

4. Lift braid

Take each braid from the bottom and bring it around each side of the bun.

Joining braids

Join the two braids with a hair tie above the center of the bun.

Wrapping

5. Wrap

Flip the joined braids back over the bun and wrap them around it.

Decorating hair

6. Decorate

Push pearl headed pins or grips into the braids to hold them in place.

The finished style is perfect for a bridesmaid and will look good right through the wedding celebration.

You could replace the pearls with flower pins to match the bride’s bouquet or gemstones in the wedding colors.

I’d love to know what you think of it.
