10 Unique and Brilliant Halloween Costumes

I’m going to show you brilliant Halloween costumes that are related to pop culture trends over the past few years. Hopefully, you guys can get some ideas for your own costumes this year. Let’s get started!
1. Pantone Color Costume
Pantone colors are a set of standardized colors that have been a huge trend recently, and it’s super easy to create.
All you need is to put together a monochromatic outfit. I’m wearing a green denim set with a green tube top.
Then, I just sewed a piece of white ribbon on the bottom of the skirt with the words Pantone on it.
This is a great costume because it’s super easy to make and you can take the ribbon off when you’re done and wear the outfit again.
2. Ashley O Halloween Costume
Up next, we have the Queen of Pop—Ashley O.
I chose to recreate her outfit from a music video with the iconic purple wig.
She wears a white latex top in the video but the top I put on still has the futuristic vibe her top does.
I also wore these silver metallic shorts and some thigh-high boots.
Then added a microphone to really bring the whole pop star costume together.
3. Bulletin Board Costume
I know this Bulletin Board costume is kind of random, but it’s so cute and easy to recreate.
All you need is to wear a brown or mute-colored dress. If a dress is not your thing, this will also work with a plain, tan-colored outfit.
Just stick a bunch of sticky notes on it and that’s it!
Wear this out and carry around a bunch of sticky notes and a pen, so people can stick their notes onto you. Take it a step further and add pictures to really make it your own.
4. Fiji Water Girl
This Fiji water girl took over the Golden Globes by photobombing every major celebrities’ picture, so let’s recreate her.
You need a long royal blue dress—nothing too fancy, just a casual maxi dress.
Pick up a couple of Fiji bottles and place them on a tray to carry around, or you can use empty Fiji bottles and glue them to the tray so it’s easier to carry.
To finish off the outfit, wear some bright pink lipstick.
5. Disco Ball Halloween Costume
This is another great Halloween party outfit and it’s also super easy to recreate.
All you need for this is any silver sequin dress. Mine was a little long so I belted it with a chain belt.
You also need some disco ball earrings.
If you’re wearing this to a nicer Halloween party, you can finish it off with a cute pair of heels, or, if not, white sneakers will look cute too.
6. Bird Box Costume
Whether you saw the movie, or you just saw the memes, this movie—and Sandra Bullock’s character in it—is pretty recognizable.
First, you need a dark blue t-shirt and a dark pink colored jacket over it. In the movie, Sandra wears a puffer jacket but as long as it’s the right color, it’ll work.
For the pants, you can either wear army green colored skinny jeans or leggings.
For the shoes, any type of combat-style boot should work.
The most important part of the costume is a blindfold. I just cut off the end of an old t-shirt, but you can buy one as well.
For the bird box, I just got a stuffed bird and put it in a cardboard box. That’s it!
7. Red Solo Cup Costume
A red solo cup is a staple at any party, so let’s turn it into a costume.
For the costume, you’ll need a plain, oversized red sweatshirt that’s big enough to wear as a dress.
For the letters, cut out the word ‘solo’ with white adhesive felt and stick it on the front of the sweatshirt.
Finally, solo cups are known for being used in cup pong, so be sure to carry around a couple of ping-pong balls.
8. And I Oop Meme Costume
I know this is a little bit weird, but meme costumes are always super fun.
To create this costume, you’re going to need a blue silk robe.
The woman in the meme also has a black bob, which is pretty much the opposite of my hair, so I used a wig.
Finally, she has some huge diamond earrings.
That’s the finished costume!
9. Hawaiian Punch Costume
Next up, we have a Hawaiian Punch Costume—get it?
To make this costume, all you need is a Hawaiian shirt and other beach-themed attire. I’m wearing some jean shorts and some Burks.
For the punch part, I just have some boxing gloves. You can even take the costume a step further and give yourself a black eye with makeup for the full punch effect.
10. Bachelorette Costume
If you’re going to a nicer Halloween party, or you want to repurpose your old prom dress, this one is perfect.
All you need is a dress and a rose!
