Are you looking for a unique idea about what to dress up as this Halloween?

Here, I have something completely out-of-the-box to show you - a carnival makeup look.

We’re going to be using an airbrush to achieve the look which is a super fun tool to use if you’ve never used it before. Follow along as I show you what to do.

Tools and materials:

  • Face paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Airbrush
  • Colored spray paint
  • Eyeshadow
  • Makeup brushes
  • Gel liner
  • Lip pencil
  • Lipstick
  • Paper lashes
Applying white face paint

1. Apply white face paint

Apply white face paint all over your face. Use a stippling motion to gain the best coverage.

Applying blue face paint

2. Apply blue face paint

Next, apply blue face paint to your eyes with a paintbrush - this will act as a base for the other makeup we will apply to the eyes.

Bring the paint right up over your eyebrows and then a little bit down the sides of your nose.

Spray painting

3. Spray over paint

Spray over the paint using an airbrush and purple spray. Blur the edges of the paint by spraying over them softly.

Spray painting

4. Spray white paint

Spray over white paint to soften the seams and highlight the eyelids.

Spray painting

5. Spray pink paint

Airbrush bright pink from the temples down to the apples of the cheeks.

Spray painting

6. Spray yellow paint

Spray yellow lemon paint in a V shape under your eyes.

Spray painting

7. Spray green paint

Apply green paint directly under your eyes and above your brow bones.

Applying black eyeshadow

8. Apply black eyeshadow

Using a flat brush, apply black eyeshadow under your lower lashes and wing it out at the sides.

Applying gel liner

9. Apply gel liner

Place black gel liner across the top lid and along the waterline.

Applying lip color

10. Color lips

Line your lips with a red lip pencil and fill them in with the pencil.

Then proceed to fill them in with red lipstick. I like to use a brush for extra precision.

Adding false eyelashes

11. Apply false lashes

Apply glue to paper lashes and place them under your lower lashes.

Here is the finished carnival look!

As you can see, the lashes we’ve used aren’t regular eyelashes but are made up of hearts and other twisty shapes to give them that whimsical look.

I love the clear white base together with the bright colored spray paints on my face.

This carnival look is such a fun idea for Halloween and I hope you like it as much as I do!
