Knowing how to style jeans is one of the most important fashion skills you can have.

In this tutorial, I’m sharing seven of the hottest denim trends of 2024. Let’s get right into it.

Baby flares jeans

1. Baby flares

I’ve been seeing this denim trend everywhere this year.

Baby flares have a floor-skimming hemline that creates the perfect formula to make your legs look crazy long.

I love wearing a light wash for spring and summer, and the stretchy design hugs your curves in all of the right places.

I paired these jeans with a simple white bodysuit and an iced aqua faux leather jacket.

Modern skinny jeans

2. Modern skinny jeans

Modern skinny jeans are either mid-rise or high-rise jeans that have a tapered slim fit.

This jegging skinny jean fit has fallen out of style, so ditch the low-rise jeggings and get yourself a pair of ‘90s slim jeans.

I love wearing these with heels, but they also look great with sneakers or flats because they’re ankle-length.

I paired them with a long-sleeve white t-shirt and an easy black bomber jacket.

High-waisted straight-leg jeans

3. High-waisted straight-leg jeans

This high-waisted straight-leg denim silhouette is slightly tapered at the ankles which makes this particular denim so flattering.

These jeans hug your curves and lift your butt.

To style this, I went with a simple white bodysuit with a sage green mango bomber jacket.

Baggy jeans

4. Baggy jeans

I love the baggy jeans trend as long as it’s styled correctly.

If you pair baggy jeans with an oversized jacket and a baggy sweater, you’ll look a bit frumpy.

However, pair your baggy jeans with a tucked-in shirt, fitted top, or cropped jacket, you’ll look stylish and put-together.

All the cool, fashion-forward girls are wearing their baggy jeans high-waisted with a puddled hemline and a pointy toe heel.

A fitted or cropped jacket or top will also create the right amount of balance in your look.

I paired mine with an ivory bodysuit and a cropped bomber jacket.

Wide-leg jeans

5. Wide-leg jeans

Wide-leg jeans are similar to baggy jeans, but they’re more fitted in the top portion of the body whereas the legs are wide all the way down.

These jeans do a great job of making your legs look long, and pairing them with a platform heel will give you even more inches.

I styled these jeans with an ivory faux fur jacket.

Here, I styled these with a black bodysuit with a black blazer draped over it.

This look is perfect for a date night or a girl’s night out. It would also be perfect to wear to the office. It’s a very versatile style.

High-waisted flares

6. High-waisted flares

If I had to pick the most flattering denim trend, it would be this one.

The high waist and the floor-skimming hemline create a long line between your waist and the floor.

They have a ton of stretch so they suck everything in and make you look so flattering and slimming.

I styled these jeans with a faux leather camel blazer and a matching bustier top. This look is very lux-looking and expensive.

Gray denim

7. Gray denim

This last trend is a new and upcoming denim trend in 2024.

Whether you’re wearing gray jeans, a denim skirt, or a denim jacket, people are going to be looking at you.

I styled these gray jeans with an ivory faux suede jacket with golden details.
