Maternity Beachwear
Very pregnant during the summer months? Bless your heart. Me too. Below are three beach looks that are both comfortable and stylish.
A babydoll swim top. Find yourself a swimsuit top that supports your chest but then flows around your growing belly. This is not a specific maternity swim top, but works so well to accentuate your bump and make it very obvious you are pregnant! This particular top even has a slit in the center of the belly portion to reveal your bare belly and give that baby some Vitamin D.
A one piece with a ruffle top and ruched sides.
If your weight gain is anything like mine, so much of it is in my chest. A ruffle at the top of your swimwear is a great feature to minimize your chest area. The key to being able to move comfortably in a one piece is ruched sides that have some give to expand for your growing baby. Adjustable straps on a one piece are also a must. But when trying on a one piece while pregnant be sure to really move around to make sure it is not too constricting. For this reason two pieces are more often my beachwear staple while pregnant.
A jumpsuit cover up.
Not fully comfortable in a swimsuit? Often times me either. Find yourself a fun lightweight jumpsuit in a color that screams summer. Vertical stripes are a huge bonus for a slimming effect that draws the eye upward. Another common theme of these three looks, big sunglasses in case your face gets as full as mine during pregnancy. Stay cool ladies.
