Back In Black

Black denim is back! And the ways you can style black jeans are endless. Black is slimming, classic, and a wardrobe staple. If you don't have a pair of black denim, I would nudge you to consider. I think you'll find the versatility of them to be well worth the investment, but they certainly don't have to be pricey. Linked below are several styles from H&M, starting as low as $9.99. While I love a head-to-toe black outfit as much as the next uptown girl, may I humbly suggest accompanying your black denim with a pop! Whether that is a neon colored top, a blouse with a funky print, or an unexpected shoe -- with black as your foundation you have the freedom to be bold elsewhere.
Here my cropped straight leg black denim are paired with a leopard print button down. The black definitely works to quiet down this otherwise loud print. I would not necessarily wear this top with hot pink pants.
But while we are on the topic of hot pink. Do pair hot pink with your black bottoms! The contrast is striking. Feeling especially playful with this outfit, I even went with a leopard shoe. If you're not feeling as wild, just stick with a black shoe.
Or if all of this seems too adventurous a start for you, begin with all black. In my opinion, it's never boring, just chic. But even in my final and most minimal look I snuck in a snakeskin boot. Substitute your favorite black pair to tame it down.

Very cute! I rarely wear black, or any solid color for that matter, and if I did, this would be how to look up to date!
I like the all black look. I'm 5' 1-1/2" tall so I would continue it down to the boots for a long look. Someone once said I was "Johnny Cash"
