Styling a Summer Halter Top

Halter tops have been around for ages. The perfect casual top for summer, usually paired with shorts or jeans, but I will show you how to upstyle one into 3 dressier outfits.

My favorite store (halfofhalf.com hopefully there is one near you) had a HUGE .55 cent sale, to celebrate being in business for 55 years. I was overjoyed at the wonderful bargains I got for a ridiculously low price. This colorful halter top was one of those pieces. Pulling the soft pink and electric blue from the top, I created 3 outfits perfect for summer weddings or get-togethers.

Outfit 1-I thrifted these pleated palazzo pants for just $10, the wide leg and thinner fabric creates a breezy summer look. Adding blue strappy heels (Forever 21), and matching belt ($3 Shein) with a pink scarf helps to pull the blue forward from the top, and it also glams it up.

The scarf was also thrifted for $3, so this look comes in right at $20. You just can't beat white pants for summer.

Outfit 2- A thrifted $4 vintage skirt from the 90's is the perfect color match for the halter stripes, the pencil style is classic and creates a nice long line.

Instead of tying the neck bow in the back, I tied it in the front, giving it a cute office vibe and changing the look of the top just a little.

Outfit 3-I bought this vintage Ralph Lauren pleated skirt from eBay years ago, the flowy skirt adds such a girly-girl vibe to the top.

Adding a wide brim hat is always my go-to for upstyling just about any outfit.

Adding an $8 pair of blue sunglasses and the scarf creates my favorite outfit of all. Just about any top can be glammed up depending on what you put with it. Each of these looks came in at $20 and under. You don't have to spend a lot to have great summer pieces that you can mix and match for a lot of fun outfits.

Blessings,

Eden
