6 Cheap Adult Halloween Costumes You Can Find at The Thrift Store

Check out these quick and easy costumes for your last-minute Halloween costume. Every year, I end up going to the thrift store at the last minute, just trying to put something together. Here, I'm going to show you a whole bunch of cheap adult Halloween costumes you can thrift for!

Rosie the Riveter Halloween costume

1. Rosie the Riveter

The first one is Rosie the Riveter - a classic. It can also be very cheap because you might have all of these items lying around, as I did. All you need is a denim button-up tucked into some jeans (they can be high-waisted or not, it doesn't really matter).

Red lipstick is important for this look, and so is the red bandana. Tie your hair up in a low bun, roll up those sleeves and get to work for your country!

Spy Halloween costume

2. Spy

This outfit is super simple. I have a huge trench coat here, which is very important to the look, and I belted it up to make me look even more secretive. Optionally, you could throw on some fishnets.

I also have an earpiece that I got at the thrift store, and I just ripped the cord out of it and put it in my ear. I enjoyed wearing it so much. Then I got a pair of skinny sunnies off of eBay. Go solve some freakin crimes, you badass.

Sandy from Grease Halloween costume

3. Sandy from Grease

Next, we have the classic Sandy from Grease. I love this look, and I think what makes it so great is the skin-tight all-black outfit. I'm literally wearing my running leggings here. Get hold of a leather jacket, and you need to wear it off your shoulders.

Throw on a pair of red heels. Also, you're going to need some red lipstick for this one, and if you don't want to go for the huge all-out curls, which can take a while, you can flip your hair to one side and have the big side part and the messy hair look, like I did.

Velma from Scooby-Doo Halloween costume

4. Velma from Scooby-Doo

It's Velma Dinkley from Scooby-Doo! I decided to do this costume because I already had this huge bright orange sweater. It is hands down my favorite sweater. How simple is this outfit - all you need is an orange sweater, a red skirt and any kind of shoes.

I think that the red crew socks kind of help the look. Then, I kind of created some bangs with a bobby pin and just tied my hair back in a low bun.

Cher from Clueless Halloween costume

5. Cher from Clueless

I always wanted to dress up as this because I feel that I kind of look like her anyway. And I've always had a bright yellow blazer. I love how this look turned out. I first found the fabric for this skirt at the thrift store for $1, and I made the skirt.

Pair it with some high white socks, black loafers, and a simple white tank top. The skirt fits me great, and I think that the costume is super cute.

It's such an iconic movie, and Cher is such an iconic character, so if you get lucky and find a bunch of yellow stuff at the thrift store, give this a try.

Ghost Halloween costume

6. Ghost

Last but definitely not least is just be a ghost. It's so wildly underrated. I mean, which one of your friends is going to go as a ghost? No one. You're going to stand out and it's guaranteed you're going to win the costume contest.
