What looks like me and is Green, Pink, Blue, and Yellow all over? My Andy Warhol-inspired image DIY Bomber jacket! Can we talk about this fabric? I put together this image for this custom printed fabric. I thought this would be super fun. I didn't know what I was going to make with it but whatever it would be, I knew it would be fun to wear! So where can you order your own custom printed fabric you ask? I have heard of several places and some of them have good and bad reviews but this was my first time actually ordering. I used Contrado for this project. The best thing about ordering this fabric was they had a sample pack of all the fabrics they offer. I was able to touch the samples and make an educated decision for my fabric choice, I ordered a Sateen twill fabric.

I have to admit that I did not read all the instructions on how to order the custom fabric and I messed it up. I thought I was ordering 5 yards of fabric and I thought the print would just repeat itself for a continuous print. But what I ordered was 5 panels of my image, which were separated by white borders. I had to cut the borders off my panels and sew them together thus limiting what I could make with the yardage I had left. I decided on a Bomber jacket  [Butterick B6181 View D]. I did have to use another fabric for the sleeves because I did not have enough of the print for the entire jacket. I used a really nice black Ponte knit.

Below is the way I ordered my fabric versus what I should have done in the second image. So if your print is not looking the way you want it to look, reach out to customer service and they can walk you through the process.
