Hey guys! Today, I’m going to show you cute easy hairstyles for long hair.

There are so many great options for styling long hair. These hairstyles don’t have to be complicated or difficult and they can really elevate the overall feel of a look when you’re getting ready to conquer the day.

Tools and materials:

  • Hair ties
  • Bobby pins
  • Barrett
Side clip

1. Side clip

For the first hairstyle, make a center part. Then take a section of your hair from the part to the corner of your forehead and pull it back to the side of your head and use a hair clip to hold it back.

Do the same to the other side. If you have bangs, like me, you can either leave them out or pin them up with the rest of the hair using bobby pins.

Pigtails

2. Pigtails

Pigtails

Take your hair and split it down the middle. Pull the hair forward on one side and tie it off just behind the ear with a hair elastic. Do the same to the other side.

Then take a small strip of hair from underneath one of the pigtails and wrap it around the hair elastic, hiding the rubber band.

Use a bobby pin underneath the pigtail to hold it in place. Do the same to the other side.

Semi ponytail

3. Semi ponytail

Take a strip of hair from each side of your face and pull them to the back of your head. Tie them together with a small hair elastic.

Take two more strands from either side of your head, just below the first section and pull them back and tie them with a small hair elastic.

Take the first section at the tie and flip it inward twice and tighten it. Pull the ends through and under the bottom one.

Then do the same with the bottom one. Flip it inward twice and tighten it.

Then you can leave the hairstyle as is and be finished or you can add some kind of embellishment at the ties, like a nice barrett.

Braided semi ponytail

Another thing you can do is make a braid below the twists with that hair. You can add more hair from underneath to make the braid thicker.

This is super cute and looks way more complicated than it actually is to do. It takes next to no time.

Braided pigtails

4. Braided pigtails

For this hairstyle we’re going to be making Dutch Braids. Make a center part and take the front part of your hair and use it to start a braid.

You’re going to want to braid inside out. Pull extra hair from the bottom adding it to the outer strands of the braid as you go.

Once you get to the nape of your neck tie it off with a hair elastic. Repeat this on the other side.

Once you’re finished with your braids, go back and pull at the hair in the braids to create volume.

Next, using the same technique as you used for the first hairstyle, take a strip of hair from underneath, wrap it around the hair tie and secure it with a bobby pin.

Do the same to the other side.

Side braid

5. Side braid

For this hairstyle we’re going to make a side braid.

Pull your hair into a side part. The part should be on the side opposite the side the braid will be on. Start a braid by the part of the bigger section.

Create a Dutch braid, starting with a small amount of hair. Start braiding and keep adding hair as you go.

Continue making the braid along the front of your face at the edge of the hairline.

As you get further down make sure you’re adding hair from the other side of your head to get all the hair in.

Side braid

Once you’ve gotten all the hair into the braid, continue braiding all the way down, leaving a section loose at the bottom.

When you’re done, tug at the hair along the braid to make it nice and voluminous.

For a finishing touch, pull out a couple strands of hair on the other side to loosen up the look even more. You can pull out a few strands on the other side of your face also.
