What is apple cider vinegar with “Mother”?
Apple cider vinegar with “Mother” is unfiltered and unrefined vinegar that has a cloudy, murky appearance. That cloudiness is the yeast and bacteria produced in the fermentation of vinegar and contains probiotics that have a variety of health benefits.
1. Prepare your foot bath
Boil water in a kettle and then transfer the water to a foot spa or a footbath. Let cool just until it’s not hot, but nice and warm.
Now add about 4½ tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to the water. Note that apple cider vinegar is very aromatic, and probably not the aroma you are looking for for your feet!
So, consider adding a few drops of your favorite essential oil to the water when you add the apple cider vinegar. That will neutralize the vinegar odor and shift it to a pleasant fragrance.
2. Soak your feet
Soak your feet in the warm water bath for 20 minutes. When you remove your feet from the footbath you will notice that the dry, dead skin and calluses have softened significantly. This will help you remove the dry skin easily.
3. Scrub your feet
Using the wire brush side of a foot scrubber, begin scrubbing the dry skin away. Follow with the file side of the scrubber and then finish with a pumice stone scrubber.
4. Rinse your feet and apply a body scrub
Put your feet back into the footbath for another 5 minutes to rinse. Dry your feet with a clean towel.
Now, apply your favourite body scrub to your feet and massage it in well for about 5 minutes.
5. A final rise
Put your feet back into the water a final time. If the water is too cold, add more water from the kettle to warm it up again.
Dry your feet with a new clean towel.
6. Finish with coconut oil
Apply coconut oil to your feet and rub it in well. This will keep your feet moisturized.
7. Protect your feet with socks
Immediately put your nice soft, supple feet into a pair of socks and keep the socks on all night.
How to get dead skin off feet tutorial
You can repeat this home remedy for removing dead skin from your feet in another week or two, but don’t do it more than twice a month. Apple cider vinegar is quite strong and, if used too often, can begin to irritate your skin.
