How to Make Your Own Nourishing DIY Cuticle Oil at Home

In this tutorial, I’m going to show you how to make your own DIY cuticle oil. Cuticle oil is used to moisturize and hydrate the area around the nail, and applying it is the first step in any manicure.
This DIY is super easy and straightforward; let’s jump on in.
Tools and materials:
- Mixing dish
- Jojoba oil
- Evening primrose oil
- Vitamin E oil
- D-Panthenol
- Syringe
- Empty lip gloss tubes
- Empty oil pen (optional)
1. Pour jojoba oil in a mixing dish
Start off by filling up your basting tube with jojoba oil and squirting it into your mixing dish. The jojoba oil is the carrier oil in this DIY, so it depends on how big your lip gloss tube is as to how much you add in.
Jojoba oil is able to repair damaged collagen matrix inside nail beds, improving strength and promoting healthy nail growth.
2. Add evening primrose oil
Proceed to add one capsule of evening primrose oil. The Omega 6 fatty acids present in this oil help nourish the nails and prevent them from cracking.
3. Add vitamin E oil
Next, add one capsule of Vitamin E oil. As an antioxidant, Vitamin E destroys free radicals that damage hair and nails, which protect your nails from aging.
Vitamin E can help correct certain nail-growth disorders and problems, including yellow nail.
4. Add D-panthenol
For the last ingredient in the mixture, add 10 drops of D-Panthenol. D panthenol quickly penetrates the nail bed and makes your nails more flexible and less rigid.
5. Mix
Continue to mix all of the oils together; you can do this with the end of a makeup brush.
6. Fill up the tubes
The final step is to fill up a syringe with the cuticle oil and then release the syringe into the little empty lip gloss tubes.
You could also fill up an empty cuticle oil pen if you have one. Watch the video from 3:45 to see how to do this step by step.
