Is your hair super oily? Today, I’m going to share with you a DIY dry shampoo recipe that is the answer to all of your troubles.

It only requires two ingredients, so let’s jump on in.

Tools and materials:

  • Cornstarch
  • Cocoa powder
  • Wide makeup brush
Mixing ingredients

1. Mix ingredients together

Start by mixing the cornstarch and the cocoa powder together.

Both cocoa powder and cornstarch are known for their absorbent properties. They can help absorb excess oil from the scalp and hair, which can temporarily reduce the appearance of oiliness.

Cocoa powder also imparts a pleasant scent to the hair, masking any unpleasant odors that your oily hair might have.

Applying to hair

2. Apply to hair

Dip a wide makeup brush into the mixture and then dust it over your roots.

Shaking out dry shampoo

3. Shake out dry shampoo

Leave the dry shampoo in your hair for a little while, then you don’t need to wash it out, but just shake it out by running your hands through your hair.
